Metamorphosis (2025)

These bodies of work are inspired by my father’s transformation of our childhood home to accommodate our large family. From building a second-story room to nailing countless makeshift shelves for our belongings, his practical additions allowed our family to grow within its walls. Over time, I came to appreciate the visible traces of his tools as marks of care, resourcefulness, and pride in self-reliance. The hanging clothes integrated into the spaces of our home represent the quiet rhythms of daily life and our family’s reliance on my father’s steady support. They reflect the tangible evidence of his care for our family that shaped and sustained our home.
