Artist Statement:

My paintings explore the interplay between abstraction and representation by deconstructing familiar landscapes from my daily life. I am drawn to abstracting the everyday using vibrant colors and collage, which introduce spontaneity and unpredictability. The repeated push and pull between collage and paint mirrors my inner anxieties about the physical spaces I inhabit. By allowing materiality to disrupt the built environment, my work seeks new ways to communicate with the intimate surroundings that have shaped me.
